Every night when Connor goes to bed we have this Bed time Ritual. Lately, it has been different, I added an alarm to signify that it is bed time. Connor had been getting out of hand with his attitude and grumpiness. It seems that with our crazy busy schedule that Connor was not getting enough sleep. Then with him being so anti-nap, he was really a joy. (shaking my head)!!! He had been such a joy that he was getting into trouble at home and at school. So I finally decided that he was going to start having a bedtime. Before he would go to bed whenever we remembered and that would be around 9:30 or 10:00. Now at 8 o'clock my alarm goes off that it is bed time. So we start to tell Connor that he has about 15 minutes and he needs to have his pj's on. We try to have him in bed about 8:30. I wish earlier but this boy sure does know how to stall. So here is our ritual. Scott will tell Connor ok time for bed lets go.
Connor will come to me and say "Mommy, can you and baby brother come lay with me for a little bit?" It is what he does that is so cute while he is saying this he does like a peace sign with his fingers and gives you this big smile. Then he will turn to Daddy and say "Daddy will you read the Wild Things?" We then will all head to his room. I sit on Connor's bed with him and Scott lays on the floor and reads the 'Where the Wild Things Are'. Connor always makes it through the book. He will lay there and play with his finger nails, I tell him to stop and to go to bed and then next thing we know he is still and sound asleep.
